Membership of VONNE

VONNE is the regional infrastructure body for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in the North East of England. VONNE's mission is to ensure that the voluntary and community sector plays a full part in the life of the North East.

We aim to achieve this by:

developing networks and partnerships of VCS organisations across the region
providing information, advice and support to the VCS
developing, influencing and responding to policy that affects the VCS in the region
working with statutory and other partners to increase recognition of the sector's roles and needs
supporting VCS representation, advocating for and providing a voice for the sector.

As a member you will:

Receive our quarterly newsletter, The Vine, packed with regional news and issues affecting the voluntary and community sector.

Receive targeted information based on your organisation's work focus.
Be invited to regular free events and briefing sessions.
Enjoy free advertising of jobs and events through our website.
Be able to contribute to the sector's regional voice through consultation and research exercises.
As a Full Member you will enjoy voting rights within VONNE.

VONNE Membership Criteria

VONNE has an open membership for any voluntary and community organisation (VCO) in the North East of England.

For Full Membership your organisation must:

be independent, in that you determine your own existence, constitution and objectives
be volunteer controlled, in that the members of the managing committee/board of directors/trustees derive no financial benefit from those positions
create a public benefit, where all financial surpluses are re-invested and not distributed to members
have a physical base in the North East of England.

(Local and regional branches of national organisations that fulfil the above criteria are also eligible for membership.)

For Associate Membership your organisation, or you as an individual, must have an interest in the voluntary and community sector in the North East of England.

Annual Membership Charges

Full Membership

£ 5 - if your organisation's turnover is less than £20,000 per annum.

£25 - if your organisation's turnover is less than £500,000 per annum.

£50 - if you organisation's turnover is more than £5000,000 per annum.

Associate Membership

£25 - if you are a VCO with a turnover less than £500,000 per annum.

£50 - if you are a VCO with a turnover more than £500,000 per annum.

£100 - if you are not a VCO, or if you are an individual.

Join VONNE

To join please download and complete the membership form below. There are two versions. The PDF version is for you to complete and fill in by hand. The Word version can be completed on your computer. Please note that both need to be signed and posted back to us with appropriate payment.
