Working With Offenders

VONNE has been providing infrastructure support to voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations supporting offenders, their families and the community for the last three years.  During this time there has been a growing recognition within the Prison and Probation Services of the importance of the VCS and the range of services they can provide for offenders.  As part of this work VONNE now convenes and chairs the Children and Families Pathway of the North East Regional Reducing Re-offending Strategy, leading the development of strategic interventions and actions that seek to improve provision for these groups.  VONNE represents the VCS on the Regional Forum and Board for the Regional Strategy.

A new network for VCS agencies working with offenders, ex-offenders and their families has been established:

VCS Agencies Network
